Mr. Hermann began his journey in the financial arena in 1966, as he served as a Financial Specialist in the United States Air Force. He began his service career in the general accounting department at his assigned air base, subsequently taking charge of the payroll department. Here he was instrumental in designing and deploying a one-stop discharge program, coordinating both Finance and HR issues in the discharge program of airmen returning from their tour of duty in overseas combat zones. He was subsequently assigned the role of implementing this program at other U.S. air bases.
Following his Air Force career and completion of his Degree in Accounting, Mr. Hermann spent the next several years with what is now known as Price Waterhouse Coopers (PwC), the world’s second largest professional services firm. During his time with PwC, Mr. Hermann was directly involved in the financial and management audits of numerous world-renowned major institutions, including Yale University and The Southern New England Telephone Company (dba Frontier Communications Company of Connecticut), along with many local, regional, and national retail and manufacturing companies.
Lured away by private industry, Mr. Hermann spent the next 17 or so years as the Financial Controller of two different public companies, one a manufacturer, the second, a major distributor to both wholesale and retail customers. During this time, he also maintained a substantial but private role as financial advisor to many family members, friends, and friends of friends.
It was in this capacity that Mr. Hermann came to realize just how much these individuals and small-to-medium sized businesses depended on his accounting assistance, tax, and business acumen, and so, in 1993, he left the corporate world and founded his own public CPA firm. In the years since, he has helped countless numbers of individuals and small-to-medium sized local businesses attain their full realization.
After raising five daughters and seven grandchildren, when he is not at his computer assisting clients, he and his wife enjoy travelling around the area, and time spent in many family activities.

Our Firm was established on the premise that many individuals, and small to medium sized businesses (SME’s) are being underserved. As an SME, you may not be in the position financially to have a full time financial professional in your employ. We are an experienced accounting, tax and payroll firm licensed in the State of CT. We offer a broad range of services for individuals, business owners, and independent professionals. Most of our services are offered on a no contract, affordable, preestablished basis, with an opportunity to bundle offerings.
